Mammoth Unbound’s Main Park is serviced by Chair Six, a high-speed quad that takes only two minutes and forty seconds to ride. Just enough time to fire off a handful of questions to the many pros — like Kimmy Fasani— who come through during the season.
: What are you up to in the park today?
Kimmy Fasani: Today I was working with Kaya Turksi on switch backside and just riding switch all day.
: How nice to see some cross-sport bonding happening in our parks. What’s your favorite feature out here today?
KF: All the jumps are really good right now. Everything just flows and I think that’s what Mammoth has done a great job with— making the park flow from the jumps to the rails.
: Have you done any double backflips today?
KF: Hahaha! Negative, that won’t go down for a little while.
: Fill us in, what do you have planned for the year?
KF: I’m definitely gonna be filming again this year in the backcountry with Standard. Just working on getting bigger, better, cooler stuff.
: Are you going to film any park stuff or rails?
KF: Well you guys did such a good job last year of course I’ll have Mammoth do another park shoot. That was so fun in the spring, but I’ll also be in the Tahoe area in January and February and then Whistler in April.
: Can your husband keep up with you on a powder day?
KF: I have to try to keep up with him! He’s on skis remember and I have to buckle in.
